Author’s Note: I repeatedly get asked what I believe in or what religion I prescribe to. So, I am allowing you to see a bit into my faith and my relationship with God. These are my own thoughts and my own understanding of the word of God. Nothing more.
Genesis 1 and 2 outlines the creation story but it doesn't give us much in the way of the painstaking attention to detail God spent on His creation. To see that, you need only to open your eyes and look around. His brush stroke crossed the skies. He painted the face of the earth and its depths. You can see it in every creature, every flower, every sunrise and sunset, and every landscape.
Science teaches us that no detail was too small and no creature unworthy of His attention. Indeed, the attention to detail is awe inspiring and breath taking. Even the snowflakes are beautiful in their cold perfection and individuality. Even the smallest cell is beautiful in its own right.
And it is constantly changing. God seemed fit to show us an ever changing beauty from one moment to the next. Each hour bringing new sights to please our senses. If you ever get the privilege to drive across the desert, you will see each minute change the colors of the landscape. He seemed to want to take our breaths away. He wanted to give us pause to appreciate His creation and the marvel of nature.
Indeed, in those quiet moments, when your breath steals away, your heart skips a beat, you look in amazement and pause in wonder, you can almost see the Heavens part and a voice whisper in your ear. "Do you like it? I made it just for you."
And God didn't just stop there.
We have all experienced a perfect moment while in the company of those we love. Those moments where we are at peace, feel love and contentment, and are wrapped in happiness and acceptance. We know in those moments that everything is right in the world and as it should be. When those perfect moments happen, stop and listen. See the Heavens open up and God's voice whisper to you. "Do you like it? I created you just for this."
Beautifully expressed and glorifying to God.
When asked how I know God is real I tell them "No one knows me like God does. People can relate to one another by our senses - sight, sound, touch, taste, smell, our shared experiences, likes, and dislikes. But as much as we think we know someone or even know ourselves, it pales in light of how God knows us. He created us. He knows our every thought, our strengths and weaknesses. His love, His quiet and even still voice to us can go to the deepest depths of our soul and nothing, NOTHING compares to hearing from Him on that plane.
His love is eternal, unshakeable, and complete!
Our God is great and greatly to be praised!!
Yes so beautifully written... thank you
