COGNITIVE REHEARSAL STRATEGIES are CRITICAL. Many people who arm themselves in fear, with no prior training of any kind (and MENTAL training is VERY IMPORTANT), end up being disarmed and the weapon is USED AGAINST THEM.
Don't use a weapon as a threat. If you're not justified in taking a life or causing serious injury, introducing a weapon is apt to be a liability--adding complexity to the interpersonal dynamics of the situation. On the other hand, DON'T HESITATE if your life or the lives of others you're trying to protect are in imminent danger. (This is where the 1st and 3rd paragraphs are important.)
Imagine different scenarios in which you WOULD or WOULD NOT be willing to use deadly force. Just because you can, legally, doesn't mean you should if there's a way to deescalate and get out of there safely. This is important because YOU WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH YOUR DECISION independent of any--or the absence of--legal implications.
Spot on. I sat in Colonels space today. Brief seat, yet very supportive and honest. Got a good read on his message and demeanor. Wise warrior. Willing & Able to teach/ support those looking for truth and comfort in knowing. No one is alone.
He works with vets who have PTSD. It wasn’t a mistake going to him for support on this. It was to also make him more well known for vets to find their support system.
Be the Grey man, nobody notices. Get out of the city quick, best to know where you are going. If things get really ugly small outlying communities will probably clam up.
Build a network now, going it alone is a death sentence. Be armed, have food water and shelter.
Don't forget a compass, paper maps, water purifier, gun, slingshot, knife with survival items in handle (5-10$ at harbor freight), fire starter, MRE's for at least a week. Extra socks is a must. Have a great day.
These are excellent tips for survival. You gave me a couple of new ideas I didn’t consider when doing contingency planning the last few years of my career. We were primarily planning for weather or pandemic at the time. We personally planned for these conditions, but fortunately we are not in a major urban area!
Are we really here sis…..🙂↕️
Yeah. This is where we are at.
Great tips! Thanks.

That's what I am trying to teach them. Being the grey man is an art.
